It's only newsworthy if it's politically beneficial

Something unprecedented has happened and the media is all but silent about it.

No it's not "The United States has suspended avocado imports from Mexico" a headline on CNN, and not  "Is Trump's power within the GOP being questioned behind closed doors?" as featured on MSNBC. Neither is it "Glimpses of Northern India's Vanishing Kharnak Nomads"  just above the fold on the NY Times and defiantly not "A-Rod, once scorned by Trump, in group buying his D.C. hotel". You'd be hard pressed to find this breaking news that many are comparing to Watergate, the major news outlets not seeing the need to print it.

What is this breaking news you ask, could it be of that much importance if it's not reported? Well, if hiring tech companies to hack into a rival presidential candidates computers and abusing Whitehouse access to do the same to a sitting president isn't important than you would be correct.

Washington Times -  Durham says Clinton campaign funded surveillance of Trump Tower, White House

"Special counsel John Durham alleged in a court filing Saturday that the Clinton campaign paid for a tech company to hack servers in former President Donald Trump’s residences and the White House to gather derogatory information on him during the 2016 campaign and while he was president.

In the filing, Mr. Durham says the government has evidence that an unnamed tech executive “exploited” an arrangement with the government to monitor Mr. Trump’s Internet traffic at Trump Tower, Mr. Trump’s Central Park West apartment, the executive office of the president and an unnamed healthcare provider."

Hacking some ones computer is undoubtedly a crime and doing so to influence an election is  tampering with an election. When you take it a step further and hack Whitehouse computers in order to unseat a sitting president, words like espionage and conspiracy come to mind. Funny how the accuser is accused of what they accused, which if true would be vindication for Trump. If left up to the media you would never be the wiser, living in ignorance as one could argue they want to you to be. Nothing to see here, look at this shiny penny, focus on me they are metaphorically saying as they headline stories that don't even compare.

We've seen this kind of media behaviour before with Hunter Biden and his laptop, as well Joe Bidens related business dealing that were also deemed off limits. One has to wonder why a story that rivals Watergate doesn't even make it below the fold, but most already know what the media would say "it's only newsworthy if it's politically beneficial."
