Trump was toxic to many Republicans after the Jan 6 riots and banned on all social media. His Truth Social platform was a bust sending him into obscurity and further adding to Bidens win. But for democrats that wasn’t enough. They were obsessed with “Getting Trump” and would stop at nothing to do it.
