Selective enforcement and the constitution

I think we can all agree that there is a group in particular that has thrown social distancing out the window. They ignore countless warnings and gather in the hundreds in a time where many worry about a sickness. But this is not just a group of partiers gathering, out having some fun, it is a group protected by a constitutional right, freedom of religion.

The great thing about the constitution is it trumps any law rule or regulations. Rights are guaranteed to everyone even a home-grown terrorist, but just because you have them doesn’t they can’t be regulated.
AG Bill Barr said any restrictions placed on religion must be equal to other restrictions too. So, if you break up a funeral but say nothing when hundreds gather in the park, it’s a safe bet you are violating the constitution.

Local politicians should treat lightly in their application of the rules, being sure they apply to all. Everyone wants to be safe, but the constitution matters too.
