Anyone who riots should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, anyone. Many "mourn" the riot of Jan 6, lets also "mourn" the riots of 2020.
On January 6 rioters breached the gates and entered the capitol, a hands down lawless act. Many call it an insurrection even though FBI said it was not, but it was still illegal. During 2020, all across the nation riots broke out for months that saw massive violence. And like Jan 6, rioters breached government buildings. Unlike Jan 6, they also set those buildings on fire, killed people including law enforcement and looted. Lets take a quick look at 2020.

Police in Portland, Oregon, declared that a demonstration turned into a "riot" early Sunday when protesters breached a reinforced fence around the Mark O. Hatfield U.S. Courthouse in downtown Portland. Federal agents guarding the building deployed tear gas on the demonstrators, who officials alleged hurled projectiles and fireworks at the agents."
Jan 6 wasn't the only time we saw people storm government buildings. In 2020 government buildingswere taken over and set on fire.

Many have forgotten in that year people were killed including police officers. It was violence that overwhelmed the nation and many seemed to approve of it.

It was a year of relentless violence that even saw part of a city forcefully taken over. Government services such asPolice, Fire and EMS were not allowed in the occupied area. Entries were guarded by armed personnel and the occupiers claimed to have succeeded from the United States. 2 people were killed by occupiers in the self declared autonomous zone.

This was 2020.
As media pundits, politicians and people on social media talk about Jan 6 as if it was a 9/11 type event, remember for a year this occurred almost on a daily basis with many lives lost, government buildings destroyed and private property vandalized. The 2020 riots were planned and organised with participants often in identifying uniforms. Where are the House committees and calls to to investigate that?
