Somewhere in an Ivory Tower, high above the city in a place were paychecks flow, a state leader makes rules for his citizens, who live far below. The leader knows nothing of them, he'd have to mingle with them for that. But the rules he makes are for their own good, you can be sure of that..
Ok Seriously, how out of touch are our leaders? The city is about to be reopened and many still haven't received unemployment.. The answer our leader gives is "You'll get it eventually." Eventually is great when you live in an Ivory Tower. It's not safe to go outside but I need money. Our leader "Get a job as an essential worker." But you said its not safe outside?
Now in our leaders latest wisdom, because he knows best, the subways will be shut from 1 am to 5am. But how will those essential workers get to work you ask? Ahh lets pack them on to busses no jive. Social distancing, you can still do it, only 10 people on a bus at a time, the rest of you shit out of luck and must wait outside on line. Or you can take a taxi because if our leader can afford it, everyone knows you can too, so stop all that poor folk crying. But if you're an essential worker and you have "your papers", you are entitled to 2 trips in a car for hire.
It's a perfect plan, made by an oblivious man living in an Ivory Tower with no windows.
