Metoo Leadership, Champions or Partisans?

Metoo is a movement meant to give the voiceless a voice in a time where it seemed like they had none. We believe you they'd encourage when many others didn't, no matter what the evidence would say. Every victim has the right to accuse and have their day in court, justice being served when applicable. But at the same time the accused had the right to the presumption of innocence, protection from unfair prosecution and mob justice. This is where Metoo started to go astray.

In the Bret Kavanaugh trial Metoo was at their strongest, riding high on the heels of Harvey Weinstein. They flexed their influence in politics, many calling them partisan, only to be attacked and accused of not supporting the victim. They massed thousands in the streets demanding congress give them mob justice, some politicians were more than happy to do so . Now here we are over a year later, and another prominent figure, Joe Biden is being accused by a woman named Tara Reade. Except this time instead of "We Believe you" its "Meh Joe's OK". Those same politicians who were ready to convict, chanting the Metoo mantra, are all now silent. The founder of metoo who backs Joe Biden election run, made this statement.

"Burke then suggested that Biden could be both “accountable and electable” for Democrats in the 2020 election, adding that the former vice president faced a “learning curve” when it comes to respecting women’s boundaries." Then there's celebrities like Alyssa Milano a staunch supporter of Metoo as well, who sat stone faced at Kavanaugh's hearing. She believed Christine Blasey Ford even as her evidence was shaky, standing firm behind the "We believe You" mantra. But suddenly that determination changed, now championing the accused she endorsed in a political election, second guessing the word of the accuser. Meanwhile Rose Mcgown, a longtime Metoo support also, calls out the organization for its Joe Biden silence and hypocrisy.

So the question we all need to ask is was Metoos leadership all about politics? Were they just using the plight of victims to get their political way? Were people who called them partisand right? I'll leave that answer up to you
