NY's Surprise Covid Numbers Not Really a Surprise
Perhaps you haven’t heard the news today about the newest covid numbers in NY state. The Governor thought they were quite surprising. 66% of hospitalizations were people who stayed at home, 18% were people in nursing homes. 2% were the homeless and 1% were people in jail. Lets take a look at them individually.

Space Force Turned Out to be a Good Idea
When Space Force was announced all the critics sprang into motion, condemning it based solely on the person who suggested it. "Where will we get the money?" a NY politician asked as she proposed laws that even her allies said they had no money to pay for. "Its a dumb idea." Said another even as top scientist and government advisor Neil deGrasse Tyso backed the idea

DeBlasio Impeachable Acts?
NYC's mayor Bill DeBlasio is no stranger to controversy having been in the national news before. But his latest order banning all protests may be the one to end it all. To know DeBlasio we must go back in time, looking at all his acts that led up to this. A list of questionable orders that were borderline illegal or unconstitutional, that he held no remorse for at all.

If You Can Wait in line at Lowes, You Can Wait to Vote
"With social distancing guidelines possibly curtailing in-person voting at the polls in November."

The Covid Bar is Always Raising
As covid deaths fall nation wide and cities start to reopen. As hope begins to return and the economy slowly crawls back. The pesky person holding the bar takes sadistic pleasure, suckering you in then rasing that bar again.
Models predicted 200k dead and governors extended lock down. Every time we reached a point when we thought they would end, politicians say "I've altered the deal, pray I don't alter it further"

Firearms and Protests?
Many people in states not so gun friendly are shocked and appalled at the site of others protesting with firearms. Where they live guns are used for crime and unjustifiable violence, so they think that applies to all. But those states are not the rest of the country, firearms are a part of everyday life. They forget there have been 2 major protests, not just in Michigan but also in Virginia. Thousands of people with firearms and not one act of violence. As of date in Michigan there has been only one arrest, there were none as far as I know in Virginia.

Metoo Leadership, Champions or Partisans?
Metoo is a movement meant to give the voiceless a voice in a time where it seemed like they had none. We believe you they'd encourage when many others didn't, no matter what the evidence would say. Every victim has the right to accuse and have their day in court, justice being served when applicable. But at the same time the accused had the right to the presumption of innocence, protection from unfair prosecution and mob justice. This is where Metoo started to go astray.

The Sanctuary city gambit
Now that we see NY may not be able to pay unemployment without federal assistance, this could go one of two ways.
NY buckles and changes sanctuary policies or they don't which makes Trump looks like a tyrant, and Cuomo looks like he cares more for illegals. Your political ideology will decide that for you. Trumps position stands on solid legal and constitutional grounds but in this crisis the court of public opinion matters more than ever. But then again republicans never win NY and will lose in that public opinion battle no matter what.

Censorship by proxy
The First Amendment is a powerful thing, all other rights were based upon it. People like MLK, Susan B. Anthony and many others you might not know exercised that right and changed our nation. Many get the first wrong, it's protection from government, not the private sector. So when social media platforms ban content its legal even though that should worry you. Do we really want big tech companies with an obvious agenda dictating what's right for you?

Landlords have to pay bills too
2 months of unemployment, not truly covering ones bills and that's for those who even managed to receive it. People already struggling will be in deeper debt, a financial crisis that could affect them for years. "They won"t get evicted" many like to say, which is true in the short term for sure. But 3+ months behind in rent, utilities, credit card and other assorted payment won't be rectified overnight.

Selective enforcement and the constitution
I think we can all agree that there is a group in particular that has thrown social distancing out the window. They ignore countless warnings and gather in the hundreds in a time where many worry about a sickness. But this is not just a group of partiers gathering, out having some fun, it is a group protected by a constitutional right, freedom of religion.

When fear trumps data
A short time ago governments and media worldwide preached death and impending doom. People screamed stay home as governors pushed, and in many cases violated the constitution. The masses didn't questioned it though, "Its a virus!" they would cry. "Its more important than the constitution!" And if you questioned that you somehow became a right winger, who didn't think the virus was serious.
